Portraits

 

​If you've spent any time here, you've probably figured out that my favorite thing to photograph is women and little girls in fancy dresses-it's an art form that I've always been drawn to. I'm in the process of reshaping my business to focus exclusively on portraits I'm most passionate about-the look I want to be known for:  I've been creating a beautiful, couture collection for client use, (most of the gowns you see on my site are from the collection) saying no to corporate headshot sessions, and leaning fully into the work that truly inspires me. This next chapter feels like home...I can't wait to see what unfolds next!

 

I shoot most of my portrait sessions at Five Mile Lake in Auburn, Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, or the Arboretum.in Seattle. These are all gorgeous locations that I know like the back of my hand. I'm familiar with when and where the softest light falls, and which areas make the most stunning backdrops. Five Mile Lake has many tall trees, lakeside views, a dock, and a rustic wooden staircase...perfect for a variety of looks in one session. Pt Defiance and the Arboretum are both a photographers dream, with their magnificent gardens and flowering trees. I try to never lose sight of how lucky I am to live in such an amazingly beautiful state.
